Excellent work, Rema!
Very nice and extensive literature review sets up the rationale for your study. Now, if we want to turn this into a publication, we will probably need to cut this section a bit and highlight just the most important literature in the area of print referencing skills. Let's say about 7-8 pages for the lit review maximum. Very nice Methods section. You will need to address how your books were appropriate for EACH kid, since all of them were of different age. You also need to re-visit the Design Standards - they are not represented accurately in the Research Design section (e.g., you are talking about evidence standards there, not design standards). I would have loved to see just a bit more information about the research design - what does it mean "multiple baseline"? We will have to add that, especially if we publish in a journal that doesn't have a lot of single-subject studies. Did Maintenance phase followed baseline procedures without shared reading or treatment procedures with shared reading? You would need to describe it just a bit more. Results section is superb! LOVE the addition of maintenance. Makes your study much stronger!!! But don't forget to add 1-2 sentences about maintenance in the overall description of results (e.g., move your last paragraph from results to the end of your 1st paragraph in Results). You would also need to add 1-2 sentences about maintenance to each individual participant's results noting the level, trend, and variability of their individual maintenance (in addition to the overall level, trend, and variability maintenance). Discussion is sufficient for the course paper, but we will probably need to expand on it for a publication. APA note: as you are getting closer and closer to the dissertation phase, please spend a bit more time with the APA manual. Your headings and tables are still quite off:( You will be happy you've spent that time when it's time to proofread your dissertation:)
