EDSE 842 Comparative Methodological Table (Comments)
Wonderful job, Rema! I actually might borrow this format and ask students to include references next time I teach this course:) I do appreciate all this work, which shows me that you really understand the important components of each research design. Couple minor points:
We actually never use self-report scale in single-subject research. It is always based on the direct observations in both baseline AND treatment phases. The external validity in both single-subject and qualitative studies is achieved by providing very detailed descriptions (and direct quotes in qualitative research), so the readers generalize themselves to similar situation. In survey research, the critical component for establishing external validity is the RANDON sampling of participants. Hope this helps!

EDSE 842 Final Exam
Great job, Rema! I love how you provided both definitions for behavior trapping. Great explanation of the problem of external validity in single-subject research. Excellent knowledge of ways to improve trustworthiness and credibility in qualitative research as well as of reasons to conduce more mixed methods studies in special education research. Concise but right to the point answers to questions about quasi-experimental research, fidelity of implementation, and limitations of survey research. Superb job with all the citations, even citing the specific page numbers! You didn't answer the bonus question, but all the required questions are answered perfectly! Great work on the exam and in class throughout the semester!!!
